Dual arm robotics is an important tool to improve both process analytics as well as directly coupled complex sample preparation procedures in at-line and high performance off-line process connections of the analytical instruments.
The challenge in this setup is the combination of multiple (15) degrees of freedom and the need for flexibility of the robot's operation. Dr. Chu developed a hierarchical organized control system for a dual-arm robot. Congrats to the sucessful defense, Dr.-Ing. Chu !
